Let's see those Trail Boss trucks towing!

Here’s what my truck pulls, reflection 27RL. I have air bags to level but the truck handles it good. Funds down the freeway at 70 all day. Ok go ahead tow police and tell me the truck is to small lol

Here's mine, 31ft total weight about 6,500lbs loaded, I also have air bags just to help the ride quality but yes it drags it all over without skipping a beat!!!

Just picked up a new to us horse trailer for the wife. Picked it up with the Trailboss but she will use her Yukon to tow it. Trailboss didn't notice it was there, hope her Yukon is the same way.

Been looking for awhile for a nice used hawk. Found this 2006 straight load with ramp at a steal of a price and jumped on it. Only issues are a few lights out, had to paint spare rim, might need new tires, and decals are peeling. Other than that it is in great condition, interior is super clean.

What setting do you have your brake controller set at? Unloaded and loaded.

I bought this trailer for my daughter probably 10 years ago. We’ve done several upgrades with rims and tires, replaced the ramp plywood and replaced all the marker lamps with LED’s. Mice love the wiring so check the back lights above the doors if you can’t get them working. She will run the controller at different setting as she tows to Florida for the winter from Ct and NJ.

No trailer mode required for this tow job...lol

My wife and I pulled the boat 200 miles round trip yesterday, the boat was fully load and fueled plus all our gear,I imagine 6000lbs or so. Once again we had some heavy head winds on the way back. She got a little better than 12mpg. Pretty much what my other v8 trucks get towing. We’re going again tomorrow hopefully less wind and will see where the mpg’s land. The engine is plenty powerful enough for towing. It stayed at 1500 rpms the majority of the time but would down shift and run at 2000rpms going uphill in a head wind. There was no excessive gear shifting or high rpm’s. Passing was also no problem. It’s definitely stronger than the 5.3 I had in my 2008 suburban I bought new back in the day and slaughters my 1993 f-250 7.3 diesel. I imagine a new 5.3 would be a good bit stronger though. Acceleration is different, it doesn’t push you back in the seat but next thing you know you are at speed, it will down shift to much higher rpm’s faster when you punch it verses a v-8. It be interesting to see how it does long term.

I mainly just tow my 7x12 Race bike trailer to the track.. I race CCS- ASRA- WERA.. Tows it with out any problems.. Dual axle with Trailer brakes.. 3500-5000 pounds when fully loaded with 2 bikes.. Gas mileage does drop to around 10.2 Mpg, but that’s driving anywhere from 68-80mph..

Not sure of the hitch weight but the car weighs around 3200 pounds on a Uhaul car hauler. Not too heavy but that 6.2L/10-speed setup let me go 80 mph down the interstate for 500 miles (Montana to Wyoming) with absolutely no issues! Hills and mountain passes were no problem!
