What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

And just to be clear: My non warranty repair for the off road damage, I did not dispute. It was my fault. I paid for it. When I went in to pick up the truck I happened to ask if everything was ok with them. It was supposed to be a rhetorical question, I was stunned when the service advisor very sheepishly told me my ENTIRE warranty was up for review! I had to wait a week for the answer. I wonder if they would have even notified me if they canceled it?

All dealerships have access to the same database. I asked my local dealership for a copy of my trucks file. I got a big bunch of BS about why they can't do that.

I went in for a simple TSB once and my service guy tried telling me my warranty might be void because I have an AirAid Jr intake tube in place of the factory air tube. Everything else was bone stock, factory air box and filter left in place. I laughed at him and said in that case my whole truck must be voided because the Falken tires aren’t OEM either. He did the right thing and stopped talking to me. 🤣

I have the same one. Bought it new in October of 22. So far so good. Seemed like the most bang for your buck. And if you need usage of the entire bed it just a few turns of a couple knobs to remove. Let me know what you think.

I researched for awhile and if I bought a new one this is the one I was gonna go with. I just never could pull the trigger on it because I couldn’t justify the price (even though it was low to middle range) for the couple of times per year I truly need it when traveling with the entire family plus luggage.

So I just kept my eye out and got lucky. Couple years old, but in good shape. Less than half price of new. Has a couple small scrapes and one small dent but I can live with it and nothing that affects functionality.

Easy to install and I agree, easy to remove when not needed.

Washed and waxed for the first time since the "50 year storm" hit in January! Also got my recovery gear together for Sierra trips as the snow melts, and built a shop clock out of an old hubcap my son brought home from the junk yard. Bow tie till I die! Hahahaha:love: . Have a great weekend everyone.

I was thinking of having my local Line-X guy black out my chrome tips on the exhaust..I asked him about it and believe it or not he had no experience with that sort of mod..Surely I am not the only one who had this idea...? Anyone black out their exhaust tips.?? If so how..?
I just painted them black. They don't even touch the exhaust. They are a pain to take off. So I just taped around it and painted them on the truck

And I did the same thing to the exhaust tips on my Mazda 6 five years ago and there has been no chipping or peeling.

Upgraded my garbage factory speakers today! 2 6x9 jl audio in the front, and some new Kenwood tweeters in the dash. Sounds so much better! I'm installing my new alpine amp to boost the speakers even more this week, as well as 2 8" subwoofers with a skar amp.

Installed bug/hood guard today. Getting ready to head from Florida to Tennessee next week, figured the extra protection is a good thing. Like the way it turned out.

In the past week I’ve added the stillen intake scoop and j&l oil separator with the canister extension. I have a few more goodies, just waiting on the time/energy to do so lol

35x12.5lt20 no rubbing.
