What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Got some mud terrains and am selling the dealership stock ATs. It's minor but I think it looks way better with them too.

Thank you. I am not ready for new tires as of yet, but still kind of like thinking about what I want to get when the time comes.

Niceee. Did that fix the rubbing? I have the same exact same set up. Was hoping to fit 35x12.5s on the stock 20s as well.
Well, yes and no. If you pullout the factory mud flap bracket you can pull the inner liner back and you will have clearance. If not at full lock your tire will rub the wheel well liner just a bit

honestly, the 6.2 isnt bad. the cold start is rowdy, but calms down quickly,

under throttle, is deep, noticeable and controlable.

i do plan on a muffler, as i want the tone to be more refined....and i want o hear the whipple when it arrives.

I did a muffler delete over the weekend, ordered a pipe kit off Amazon. Also rotated the spring in the damper to keep it open all the time. Sounds pretty wicked on a cold start. It has a nice mellow Chevy sound going down the road

Upgraded license plate lights to LED. Next up are reverse and then turn signal.

I haven't ordered the turn signal bulbs yet because of mixed responses with canbus errors.

I put in a Bed Lighting system, about a week ago, and the testing is now complete after fetching a load of firewood. My main concerns with Bed Lighting was possible damage from loads like this, and that the lighting be battery-powered with no wires going to the cab or engine area.

This was not as easy as I thought it would be. But it works well, I like it; tucked up under the sides there was no damage. The batteries are NiMH rechargeable.

Also today I prepped for doing a simple, low-cost ceramic coating. First washed with Chemical Guys Foam Gun. Removed all black tar spots with Goof-Off. And waxed with Meguire's Rubbing Compound. Now to use the Shine Armor Graphite Ceramic.

And I'll post pictures when I can.

use a good light to inspect the paint, som of the slightly more abrasive compounds look fine under normal light,,,get a side glance or direct light...and it is swirl city

do not coat over that, it can be much tougher to polish off
