Quick bath, wiped down the interior, conditioned and cleaned the leather seats.

use a good light to inspect the paint, som of the slightly more abrasive compounds look fine under normal light,,,get a side glance or direct light...and it is swirl city

do not coat over that, it can be much tougher to polish off
This is very good advice. Thanks.
So I did a search on how to remedy swirl marks on the clear coat. And ... I might do all this to a Corvette, but probably not on my Trail Boss.

I have used a clay bar on my '07 C6. But that is a lot of work, bad for my back, and rather easy to damage the paint if you get any grit on the bar.

Wife bought the ceramic spray stuff, for her 5.0 Mustang GT/CS. So ... I only need to use it enough to get her approval. (don't tell her I said that.)

Got my front windows tinted to match the rears yesterday, so this morning the truck got a good wash and detail in the driveway!

After two weeks got my TB with true color correction and IGI Ceramic coated inside and out. Afraid to drive it now. Better now than when I bought it new. Amazing difference!

What do they do for the interior? I had my exterior ceramic coated, but haven't heard much about doing the interior.

they do make a washmit, that simulates a clay bar...works great. depending on your liking, and color, just give it a good degrease and look over...,if it isnt to bad, just use CMX or the like.

i wash my company vehicle this way, and sparkles compared to other freshly wash trucks

Wow, this is a great suggestion. There is a cheap chinese-made mitt on amazon ... but Adam's Polishes are also available there. So we ordered the Adam's Clay Mitt, and a couple of the spray products recommended for that (surface prep, strip wash, clay lube). A hundred bucks ... on top of the 50,000+ we have already invested? Easy choice.

Also, the Adam's mitt comes only in red, which is good for us (red vette, red mustang, red TB).

Thanks!

edit: This site seems to have accurate advice on detailing. And Jay Leno is so likeable ...

Installed RC 1.5 level kit and hard tri fold tonneau cover over the weekend. I like the stance and really like the tonneau cover, much better than the standard roll up one I had.

Found chrome tips on sale at parts store, switched up look and took out forklift pockets lol. Not sure yet as they are a little small. still processing.
