What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

I really like those…and for my white I think they would be great. I just worry about them coming lose. My ocd couldn’t handle that.
I don't think you have to worry about that as long as the mating surfaces are prepped really well. I was concerned too until I tried to pull up on one of mine, it wasn't moving.

I like these flares too, but these look like they require you to keep the factory mud flaps, which I don't like.
Here is the story on the OEM flaps and delete kit. The OEM flaps will bend your fenders.

I have that same delete kit. Yes, way over priced for what you get but they seem to be the only option out there. For the money I would've like to have seen them have tabs that fit in the factory slots using factory clips instead of the 3m tape on the back. That way they would be easy to remove and reinstall if needed for any reason. Oh, well. Your point about them bending the fenders is totally valid, though not a big concern for me. I just hate how they look.

To clarify, I was referring to the factory flaps, not the delete kit at the end there.

I'm wondering if the deletes work with them. This way you can have something there.
The deletes don't cover quite as much area as the factory flaps. So while it may be possible to use them with those flares I think there would be large gaps were they meet, and so probably not look very good.

So you’re telling me there’s a chance.

The Bilstein 6112s I've been waiting for came in this week and I put them on the truck today. Gotta say, this is the way to go. I had a Readylift 1.75" kit on it and was only using the top spacer, not the one under the shock, and my truck was perfectly level. Removed the spacers and now with the Bilsteins set on the tallest notch the truck is at exactly the same height and still perfectly level. So now I can use the factory top mounting nuts with full engagement instead of those tiny nuts that come with the Resdylift kit. Also, now there's no more excessive droop when jacking up the front of the truck.
The ride is much improved. Much more stable around turns and no more bouncy feeling over sharp bumps, and not any more harsh than the factory ride. So for anyone looking to level their Trailboss I highly recommend these coil overs. Great fit, better springs, better shocks, and a leveling kit with no wonky spacers all in one package. However, you'll still need to replace the upper control arms for safety.

I wish I would have added the Bilsteins with the ReadyLift.

Installed a set of AMP Power Steps. Bought them for a great price from Forum member JBJ👍
Pretty straightforward install. Function as advertised.
