Biggest tire on stock boss

Hey gang, new to the forum as of today as I've been trying to figure out what route to go for bigger tires on my '20 TBoss. I really like the style of the stock wheels so if I can just go with larger rubber, great. I'm also considering the GM black 20's with Nitto Ridge Grapplers but obviously that doubles the cost.

Super intrigued by Baz's set up. Looks great! Wondering if you had started with the 1.5" spacers, do you think you'd be able to avoid trimming the mudflaps and removing the liner brackets?

I’m certain they would still need to be trimmed and removed.

There’s more than enough space in the backside of the factory 18in Trail Boss wheels, so no lug trimming required. I’ve heard that the 1.25in spacers fit too but I went a size bigger with the 1.5in just to be sure. The 1.75in spacers would cover the full length of the lugs, and that’s what I ran for a while on my Colorado ZR2.

1.25" spacers will fit. Thats what I installed. Like you said, there is plenty of recessed area on the mounting surface of the wheel so I didn't need to trim lugs. Just bolted everything on. The truck handles much better. It feels less tippy on the highway and much more planted around curves.

Ya it’s crazy how much extra stability these trucks have with the wheel spacers.

Currently looking at BFG Ko2: 275/65/20 or 285/65/20 myself after I get the 2" level.
Curious though from switching factory C load rated to a BFG E rated how severe the adverse impact will be: Ride quality, speed, gas mileage, etc. Any thoughts?

I've read countless threads on this, I have the rc leveling kit and my next tire will be 285/65/20. Here's my truck leveled, stock tires on 20s. And white truck image is from a forum. Imo, the 285s look just right, not too big, not too small. No trimming no rubbing as reported by that owner.

2020 trailboss. 1.5" zone off road level and new shoes put on today. Went with yokahoma X-AT 295/70 on stock 18 wheels. Minor alignment adjustments after install but shop Said it was minor and to mfg specs. No rub anywhere. Tires spec as 34.6/12. Only drove 20 miles but notice no difference in acceleration! Ride is a little stiffer with E load tires but still responsive. Mileage TBD. It's dark outside so I'll throw some pix up tomorrow. Thanks for the help everyone. Love the look and stance.

That’s a great looking truck. I noticed the same thing with my E-rated Falkens, but it’s nice to have the extra durability for off-road.

Thanks. I normally run MT's but wanted something quieter this time. Tires are actually more aggressive than the pictures show

To add spacers or not is the next question. No rub issues but the stance would be A+

BAZ , you're running 1.25 bora with 295/70 18 factory, correct?

If I’m using the stock size tires and wheels and using the 1 1/2 inch spacers will I need to modify the mudflaps or brackets? Also do I need to trim any of the factory studs so they don’t hit the rims putting them back on the spacer?
